According to PG Merdvedko, Portnov has overstepped his authority to destabilize the work of State Property Fund. GPO has created a team of investigators jointly with the Security Service of Ukraine to investigate the charges against Portnov.

In addition, GPO has looked into the legality of suspending funding for SPF by the state treasury. Decrying violations, GPO demanded that funding for SPF be resumed immediately. GPO has also opened a criminal investigation into disrupting funding of SPF by the treasury, PG Medvedko added.
