100,000th car rolls from Eurocar assembly lines

When the Eurocar company started car assembly in Uzhgorod, Zakarpattya back in 2002, it has manufactures 100,000 cars, with a Skoda Octavia Tour 1,8/110kw becoming a jubilee vehicle, a ZIK correspondent reports.Production target for 2008 is 40,000 automobiles, with up to 100,000 cars to be made in the next three years annually, Eurocar supervisory board chairman Oleh Boyaryn told ZIK.
Volkswagen Group (Skoda, Volkswagen, Seat) cars are
manufactured at the plant’s 2 assembly lines. Eurocar uses ISO
9001:2000 quality standards in production and imports.
Wielding and painting shops are to be built in 2009
in line with Eurocar’s strategies.
At the same time, several plants for
the manufacture of spares are to be built by late 2011. According to
Eurocar General Director Olexy Yahychev, Eurocar will launch the
production of a new model in August, Skoda Superb.
