Melnychenko accuses Baloha of plotting attempts on Yushchenko’s and Tymoshenko’s lives

Mykola Melnychenko declared this at his press conference at UNIAN. To implement such scenario, there is no need to order tanks onto the streets and fire at the Verkhovna Rada, he says.

“One of the ways is to carry out attempts on Tymoshenko’s and Yushchenko’s lives. Such plan is now being hatched by some hot heads,” the major warned.

Asked about who the likely perpetrators are, Melnychenko responded, ”the president’s chief of staff Vikrtor Baloha is one of them.” Melnychenko says he has a lot of evidence indicating that Baloha has been regularly violating the Criminal Code.

He learned in Washington last week that the force scenario can be implemented in Ukraine, Melnychenko says. “I have met with a number of people in Washington, and they assured me that such a scenario is quite possible,” the former presidential guard says.

Therefore, Melnychenko says the security of Yushchenko and Tymoshenko should be urgently beefed up. One of the security-raising measures would be a ban for both leaders to sit in the front seats of their cars.

Another scenario involving the use of force, the major believes, is for politicians and political parties to cash in on the “external enemy” scare targeted on Russia.

He pointed his finger at the Department of State Security headed by Valery Heletij and the Alpha special troops unit that can become tools for using force.

He has no incriminating documents with signatures and seals about the planned use of force, the major admits, but he trusts his sources. “COs of the Department of State Security and Alpha must do everything to prevent the use of force,” Melnychenko said.

“I am warning the politicians against using force as it will lead to the collapse of the country,” he concluded.

    Yushchenko has signed his own political death warrant.
    Chances are Party of Region will secure control and leadership of the new government. In wish case, assuming that Yushchenko has not cut a deal with Party of Regions, Yushchenko will face a hostile parliament.

    Although Yulia will lose office she will be free to support constitutional change and the adoption of a European style Parliamentary system of governance putting an end to yushchenko's reign of terror and division.
    The upside being that Yushchenko's political career has come to an end.
    Ukraine will be able to move forward no longer being held hostage by the President that no longer represents Ukraine's best interest.
    Already we are seeing members of Our Ukraine abandoning Yushchenko and seeking refuge and support from other political Factions. people's self defence are expected to withdraw from the NUNS faction leaving Our Ukraine to lose the next election on its own.
    With this in mind there is nothing to gain from an assignation plot. Yushchenko's career has come to an end.
