For the sake of creating a troika coalition of BYUT, NUNS and Lytvyn bloc, BYUT will accept all the ultimatums which NUNS had put forward, the premier announced at her press conference Oct. 1.“For us only the troika format is acceptable,” Tymoshenko said, stressing that BYUT and the Lytvyn bloc have not put forward any ultimatums to NUNS. She also dismissed statements circulated by the president’s office that BYUT and the Party of Regions were on track to form a coalition.
“We are accepting all NUNS terms, all their ultimatums and arms-twisting,” Yulia Tymoshenko announced. “They are pushing Ukraine to snap elections. We won’t let them do it,” she added.
Simultaneously, the premier said Ukraine can join NATO only following a national referendum.
She supported Ukraine’s course toward creating a new European system of security.
