Yushchenko, Party of Regions and Akhmetov conspire to call snap elections, Tymoshenko says

Premier Tymoshenko claims she hasn’t received an invitation from Pres Yushchenko to hold consultations on coalition restoration or the likely dissolution of Verkhovna Rada, Yulia Tymoshenko said Oct. 7, speaking in a press conference in Kyiv.

“The BYUT faction hasn’t received any invitation yet,” she said, adding that she had earlier initiated meeting with the incumbent, but drew a blank as ”the president probably thinks such meetings are useless.”

The BYUT faction has raised 155 signatures in favor of forming a coalition with NUNS and met all Yushchenko’s ultimatums. Now, Yulia Tymoshenko concluded, the decision rests with the incumbent.

Simultaneously, she noted that “Yushchenko, the Party of Regions and Akhmetov have joined forces in a conspiracy to call early parliamentary elections.”

- This is an interesting conspiracy but if this was the case then why did not Our Ukraine and Party of Regions form a coalition. The only way this conspiracy theory can hold true is if Our Ukraine and Party of regions are planing to "fix the election results" and needs a fresh election to shrug off supporters of Yulia and peoples self defence. Chances are part of Region will secure control and leadership of the government with or without Yushchenko's support. If Party of Regions are true to their word and declared policy they will seek support for constitutional reform and the adoption of a European Parliamentary system putting an end to Yushchenko's reign of terror and division. The ball is in motion and the dice thrown. The only question is how level and balanced is the playing field. Yushchenko is no longer in a string position to dictate terms. He is captive of his own betrayal.
