BYUT is seized by panic. She opposes snap elections because she hasn’t modeled her election campaign. Yulia Tymoshenko is playing for time to let her political opponents take wrong steps. Based on their mistakes, she will plan her campaign strategies, political expert Volodymyr Tsybulko said, speaking to ZIK Oct. 17.Yulia Tymoshenko is the kind of a politician who turns her weaknesses into strengths. Her present opposition to holding snap elections is irrational and indicates her weakness. But in future she can turn it to her advantage, the expert opines.
According to the expert, the bulk of parliamentary parties favor preterm elections as a balanced government and new majority will make it possible to pass the budget in 2009.
“In the 2007 parliamentary election campaign it was clear that BYUT will team up with Our Ukraine. At the start of a new campaign the outlines of a new coalition are in the fog. I think the major players will do their best not to come to loggerheads in the run-up to the voting day,” V.Tsybulko said.
He forecasts the elections will be held in February next year.
