Vasiunyk and Onyshchuk may lose their ministerial portfolios

“It is difficult to comment on cabinet reshuffling as it is influenced by many subjective and objective factors. Sometimes, political loyalty comes first in assessing a track record of an official. In this light, I believe the first victims of a cabinet reshuffle may be the transport minister and one of the economic ministers, political expert Yury Yakymenko of the Kyiv-based Razumkov think tank told ZIK Dec. 17.“I also believe that some of the ministers appointed under the Our Ukraine quotas will be replaced. Vice Premier Vasiunyk may be one of them as well as Justice Minister Olyshchuk. Ministers appointed by the president will remain intact and the incumbent can replace them if he wishes so. The Lytvyn Bloc is likely to lay a claim to some ministerial posts,” Yakymenko opined.
