Prosvita, UNA-UNSO to protest Moscow Patriarch’s visit to Ukraine

June 25, Ukraine’s nationalist organizations Prosvita, UNA-UNSO and others will hold a press conference titled Moscow Patriarch in Search of his Native State. One of its organizers, UNA-UNSO head and Hero of Ukraine Yury Shukhevych said, speaking to ZIK, that their goal is to protest Patriarch Kiril treating Ukraine as his home country.“The patriarch speaks and behaves as if he is going to his native country, saying Ukrainians and Russians are a single nation. It is his opinion but we take a different view. We would not protest, if the purpose of Kiril’s visit was to meet with parishioners affiliated with the Moscow Orthodox Church. But treating his visit to Ukraine as a visit to his native country is too much,” Shukhevych argued.
Ahead of Patriarch Kiril’s visit, Ukraine’s nationalist organizations will hold actions of protest, air their appeals and statements to Kiril. “It is probable that when Kiril is faced with our protests, he will cancel his visit or tone it down. He should be aware that he is coming to a foreign independent country with its own traditions, history and experience. More so that our relationships with Moscow and Moscow patriarchate have never been as smooth and cloudless as they would have wanted them to be. Kiril should not behave as a master in Ukraine,” the UNA-UNSO leader declared.
Shukhevych said such protests should not be viewed as a provocation aimed to cause a flare-up in Ukraine-Russia relations. We cannot look the other way and tolerate humiliation, pretending nothing has happened, Yury Shukhevych summed up.
Other organizers of protests include Prosvita head Pavlo Movchan, Oleksandr Hudyma, UNA-UNSO executive board head Ruslan Zajchenko and Pora NGO head Yevhen Zolotaryov.

- Ukrainian nationalist should update their knowledge of Slavic orthodoxy, and history. If and when they do, they will stop expounding nonsense. History recognizes three interdependent Russias, but not three independent Russias. My maternal grandfather was a Ukrainian and proud to be a Russian. For us, loyal subjects of Imperial Russian, who were born and raised outside the Soviet Union, Russia stretches from Vladivostock to the German border with Poland!

- Not to worry...as with most mockali, kiril (much like that alexey pedophile before him), has no influence in Ukraine. Him visiting Ukraine is very much like monkey putin attempting to visit Chechnya. It's more amusing than anything else.
